The Purpose of The Spirit of Wilberforce Project is: -

A wake-up call to address the lack of awareness and understanding of the history of the slave trade and its legacy, and to challenge social attitudes.

This purpose will be achieved in a number of ways : -

1. To educate historical facts of slave trade & provide appropriate emotional experience

2. Highlight positive action and commitment of abolitionists & their social values

3. Participatory identification of the slave trade and the legacy for black and white people

4. Promote constructive change, commitment to make a difference
